This confirms it. I will definitely not support Trey.
Rand Paul has my vote for being a lifelong conservative Republican.

Okay so I just read through this whole report and I do very clearly remember this issue in the Kentucky legislature over free speech vs. government restrictions. I had forgotten that Trey went against the people and chose to limit free speech. Somebody who doesn’t respect even the first amendment does not deserve to be a senator.

I recently came accross your blog and have been reading along. THanks for the updates about kentucky politics

This is an unusually and noticeably short clip. What did he say in the sentence before and the sentence after this one? That would certainly make a big difference!!! He may have been quoting someone else or making a hypothetical statement about the views of others. This certainly isn’t convincing to me!!!

Yeah this basically summarizes my thinking. The answer is not to “pay for new spending” by raising taxes. That’s a democratic plan. The answer is to CUT spending, and then LOWER taxes. Get it through your head trey.

This is ridiculous! It shows me that people are trying very hard to come up with some good dirt, and so far aren’t having much luck. What a joke.
Unfortunately this is the only clip we could find. I spoke to someone who saw the whole speech and he detailed it as follows:
Trey Grayson said the above quote passionately: “It’s the government’s money. It’s not your money!” People responded negatively, but he repeated himself: “It’s not your money!” After being booed, he tried to laugh it off and finally said “It is your money!”
There are two options here. Either he truly believes the quote but decided to change his speech after the crowd reacted negatively two times, or he made the same mistake twice in a row until finally correcting himself. The second situation would indicate a possible “Freudian slip” as I noted above.
Either way, the fact that these words came out of Trey’s mouth is very suspicious, especially considering his liberal tendencies as outlined in other areas of this site.

Trey Grayson was twenty years old in 1992. I’m not sure if he supported Clinton or not, but if he did, who cares? He wouldn’t be the first person who grew up, got smart and became a Republican!!

Wow talk about doublespeak… Trey Grayson has an Ad running here in Kentucky that says “Just Spend Less” yet surprisingly he doesnt even say where he would like to cut!
Now I find out he doesnt want to cut anything, just tax more for the new spending!

I do care because he has not proven that he is a true conservative and it seems he just changed to the GOP as a political move! If you look above he even said “now is a good time to be a republican!”
Yes it was 1992 when he campaigned for Bill Clinton but he has supported democratic programs as recently as the last few years
Speaking at environmental conferences and going to left-wing institutes for example
I havent visited this site in a while… it looks like you found a lot more info on Trey “RINO” Grayson.
I am pretty sure I read this article in the AP wire, mentioning Jim Bunning wanting to use stimulus money towards benefits.
I didnt catch this quote.. but you’re right. Trey didnt say we need to cut spending, but that we need new spending that we pay for.

If Trey cant even stand for the 1st amendment how can we know he will stand for the rest
following the constitution is the most important thing for government workers

Trey wants to help the Obama agenda?
Trey has disappointed me so much that I’m not even surprised when he says something like this
